The entry to Southview is north of Florence, Oregon at milepost marker 181 on Highway 101.  When turning into Southview from this point, one first encounters a gated access barrier where an access code is required. After the gate, Southview Lane leads directly to all 27 established residences except for two that make use of a spur road. Southview Lane is a little over 2/3 of a mile in length and loops back on itself at the northern end. The lowest elevation is at the entry gate (205 ft) and the highest elevation occurs at the northern loop (466 ft). The map below shows the configuration of Southview Lane and related facilities.
